Sotirios Panailidis - Icon Atelier

Lecture given by Father Kallistos Polatidis and Sotiris Panailidis.
Lecture given by Father Kallistos Polatidis and Sotiris Panailidis.

In his atelier, Sotirios Panailidis holds iconography workshops for smaller groups of students, both young and grownups. The duration of courses ranges from 2-3 months (for students who already have painting experience) to 2-3 years (for beginners). Apart from painting lectures, within a course, guest lecturers teach about history of art, religion and other themes of interest. As a professional icon painter, S. Panailidis is authorized to issue certificates to students upon the completion of his courses. Out of his atelier, S. Panailidis, since 1996 to this day, works as a professor of iconography at the Cultural Centre of Mitropolis of Katerini and Platamona.
